Job summary

SimplifyNext, a Singapore-based digital engineering firm, is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build and deploy scalable data lakehouse platforms, collaborating with AI and analytics teams on modern cloud stacks.

You will own end-to-end pipelines (ETL/ELT), ensure data quality and governance, and apply DevOps practices to production deployments, while working with Databricks, Spark and AWS/GCC environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Microsoft Fabric or AWS data services.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java) for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud data platforms.
• Architect and build data lakehouse solutions with open table formats.
• Define automated data quality validation frameworks and governance.
• Write production-grade code and deploy on cloud infrastructure with IaC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document designs.
• Own production pipelines including monitoring and incident response.
