Job summary

UMELIFE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a senior AI Compute & Infrastructure Leader to design and drive our global AI compute infrastructure strategy across China, Hong Kong, Singapore and overseas markets.

This high-impact role includes end-to-end ownership of capacity, data center development, GPU procurement, supply chain and cluster operations. You will lead IDC site selection, node deployment, and supplier negotiations, ensuring on-time delivery, cost control and adherence to PUE and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in CS/EE or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data centers, cloud computing, AI compute infrastructure, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in Singapore and SEA IDC site selection, data center construction, and infrastructure operations.
• Extensive experience in GPU server procurement, supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and cost control.
• Knowledge of export controls, cross-border data compliance, international regulatory requirements, and policies governing power and energy resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s AI compute strategy and infrastructure roadmap.
• Ensure sufficient compute capacity to meet peak business demand while reducing unit cost of compute.
• Lead IDC site selection, negotiation, construction, and delivery across key markets.
• Coordinate deployment of data center nodes across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and overseas.
• Lead the procurement of GPU servers and networking equipment, and manage supplier negotiations and costs.
• Establish and manage AI compute cluster operations and scheduling; ensure SLA performance of infrastructure.

I. AI Compute Strategy & Planning

1. Develop and execute the company’s domestic and international AI compute strategy and infrastructure roadmap,
2. Key Deliverables: Ensure sufficient compute capacity to meet peak business demand while continuously reducing the unit cost of compute.

II. Data Center Development & Infrastructure

1. Lead IDC site selection, negotiation, construction, and delivery, covering power capacity, energy efficiency/PUE, network bandwidth, geopolitical and regulatory considerations, and other critical factors.
2. Coordinate the development and deployment of data center nodes across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore, and other overseas markets.
3. Key Deliverables: Ensure all data center nodes are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with target PUE and availability standards, with no material delays or cost overruns.

III. Supply Chain & Procurement

1. Lead the procurement of GPU servers (including NVIDIA and domestic AI compute solutions), networking equipment, and related software and infrastructure.
2. Manage supplier negotiations, supply chain relationships, delivery schedules, and procurement costs.
3. Key Deliverables: Ensure critical equipment is delivered on time and achieve procurement costs that are competitive with or below prevailing market levels.

IV. Operations & Compute Scheduling

1. Establish and manage a comprehensive AI compute cluster operations and maintenance (O&M) system, compute scheduling platform, and incident/emergency response mechanisms.
2. Ensure the stability, availability, and SLA performance of the company’s compute infrastructure.

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Experience:
3. 8+ years of experience in data centers, cloud computing, AI compute infrastructure, or related fields.
4. Core Expertise:
5. Strong expertise in Singapore and SEA IDC site selection, data center construction, and infrastructure operations. China experience will be a plus point
6. Extensive experience in GPU server procurement, supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and cost control.
7. Strong understanding of AI compute scheduling, GPU training/inference clusters, and compute leasing/business models.
8. Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge:
9. Familiarity with export controls, cross-border data compliance, international regulatory requirements, and policies governing power and energy resource allocation.
