Job summary

UMI TECH in Singapore seeks a senior AI Compute & Infrastructure leader to own and execute the global compute strategy across China, Hong Kong, Singapore and overseas markets. You will lead data center development, GPU procurement, supply chain, and cluster operations to support next‑generation LLM and AI businesses with end‑to‑end ownership and measurable efficiency gains.

This role requires deep experience in site selection, construction, capacity planning, and regulatory compliance to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data centers, cloud computing, AI compute infrastructure, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in Singapore and SEA IDC site selection, data center construction, and infrastructure operations; China experience is a plus.
• Extensive experience in GPU server procurement, supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and cost control.
• Knowledge of AI compute scheduling, GPU training/inference clusters, and compute leasing/business models.
• Familiarity with export controls, cross-border data compliance, international regulatory requirements, and energy resource policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's AI compute strategy and infrastructure roadmap.
• Lead IDC site selection, negotiation, construction, and delivery including power, PUE, and network considerations.
• Coordinate data center nodes across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore, and overseas markets.
• Lead GPU server procurement, networking equipment, and related software and infrastructure.
• Manage supplier negotiations, delivery schedules, and procurement costs.
• Establish and manage AI compute cluster operations and maintenance systems and incident response.
