Job summary

SMBC Group Singapore is seeking an experienced credit risk professional to manage a portfolio of complex financing transactions, including leverage, acquisition financing, structured credit, fund finance and real estate financing. You will build robust risk analyses and clear, decision-ready applications for management and credit committees.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis and portfolio management, with core exposure to leverage, acquisition financing and structured credit.
• Experience with fund finance and/or real estate financing is advantageous.
• Strong financial modelling and numerical analysis skills.
• Proven ability to distil complex risk into clear, decision-ready analyses.

Responsibilities

• Credit Risk Management: Prepare high-quality credit applications, risk assessments and sensitivity analyses for a portfolio of transactions including leverage and acquisition financing, structured credit, fund finance and real estate financing.
• Distil complex credit structures into concise, easily understood applications for management and Credit approvals.
• Ensure timely submission, accuracy and absence of overdue items, coordinating with credit departments and origination teams.
• Engage with CPM team members, provide updates, participate in portfolio discussions and escalate material risks to lead/Head of CPM.
• Control and Compliance Management: adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit requests; support remediation efforts.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: work independently with high accountability, share knowledge and best practices.
