Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a seasoned Credit Risk professional with deep expertise in sovereigns, banks and NBFIs. You will lead proactive risk management, assess limits, review submissions, and work with Global Markets and other BUs to structure credit facilities that mitigate risk.

You will bring 15+ years of credit experience, strong analytical skills, and solid knowledge of loan documentation (ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA).

Qualifications

• Good degree from a recognized university.
• At least 15 years of relevant credit experience with focus on Sovereigns/Banks/NBFIs.
• Experience with hedge funds is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan structures and treasury products.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the Primary Credit Approving Officer responsible for pro-active risk management for portfolio.
• Assess and approve appropriate credit limits during credit propositions, annual renewals and transactional requests submitted by business units.
• Review annual review papers and provide constructive comments to enhance credit submissions.
• Pro-active management of credit portfolio amid evolving market dynamics and elevate concerns to management.
• Be well-versed with OCBC's credit policies and recommend changes as required.
• Participate in development of risk governance, standards, procedures and initiatives.
• Perform regular regulatory stress-test on portfolios under credit coverage.
• Ensure new transactions and renewals meet risk acceptance criteria and regulatory requirements.
