Job summary

Varel Singapore, part of the Tribute Portfolio by Marriott, seeks a Senior Sales Manager to drive corporate and MICE business, develop sales strategies, and grow room nights and revenue.

The role requires building relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, and industry partners, managing a portfolio, and leading end-to-end sales from prospecting to contracting with cross-functional collaboration to deliver seamless events.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience in hotel, hospitality, events or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies for corporate, MICE, group and business travel segments.
• Identify and pursue new corporate accounts, MICE opportunities, group business and revenue streams.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, meeting planners, agencies and partners.
• Manage a portfolio of key corporate accounts, ensuring engagement, retention and revenue growth.
• Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, and site inspections; participate in networking activities.
• Generate and convert leads for meetings, conferences, incentives, and events.
• Lead end-to-end sales process from prospecting to contracting and handover to hotel teams.
• Prepare corporate proposals, contracts and event packages aligned with hotel strategy.
• Negotiate rates and terms while protecting profitability and positioning.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Front Office and Operations to ensure seamless delivery of groups and events.
