Role Description

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant atMichael Page, you will:

• Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their technology environments, project priorities and requirements for contract talent.
• Identify new business opportunities arising from digital transformation, system implementations, technology upgrades, operational needs and temporary skills gaps.
• Advise clients on recruitment solutions for contract assignments, interim appointments and project-based technology roles.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including client briefings, candidate sourcing and assessment, interview coordination, offer negotiation and assignment follow-up.
• Work with hiring managers to define assignment scope, technical requirements, expected outcomes, duration and working arrangements.
• Build candidate networks across software development, data and analytics, cloud and infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and project and change management through direct sourcing, referrals and market mapping.
• Assess candidates against job-related requirements, considering their technical skills, project experience, relevant achievements and availability.
• Advise clients and candidates on talent availability, remuneration, assignment expectations and recruitment processes.
• Prepare recruitment proposals and negotiate fees, assignment terms and service agreements within company guidelines.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams on engagement arrangements, pre-employment checks, onboarding, documentation and assignment administration in accordance with applicable requirements and company policies.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and placed professionals to support assignment delivery, address concerns and discuss extensions or future opportunities.
• Develop your understanding of technology roles, emerging skills and flexible workforce models to support informed recruitment advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across teams and locations on client opportunities, candidate referrals and recruitment delivery.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and handle client and candidate information confidentially.
• Uphold fair recruitment practices, service quality and professional integrity throughout the recruitment process.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who candemonstrate:

• Relevant experience in recruitment, technology, technical sales, business development or account management, with skills transferable to client engagement and recruitment delivery.
• An interest in technology contracting and a willingness to develop specialist market knowledge. Experience in technology recruitment or contract staffing would be an advantage.
• The ability to understand technical hiring requirements and communicate effectively with hiring managers and technology professionals.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities, engage prospective clients and develop existing accounts.
• Clear communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to understanding client and candidate needs.
• Strong research and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines and onboarding requirements.
• Responsiveness and sound judgement when managing time-sensitive requirements and changing project needs.
• Attention to detail when handling commercial terms, assignment documentation and recruitment records.
• A commitment to fair hiring, confidentiality and building trusted, long-term professional relationships.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
