Job summary

jiayi construction engineering pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced Deputy General Manager to support the overall management and daily operations. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects run on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a civil/construction degree and strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration or related field.
• Experience in construction industry.
• Experience in management, project coordination or operations.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing operations.
• Support business planning, development and management strategies.
• Oversee construction projects with project managers and site teams.
• Monitor progress, manpower, costs and performance.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
• Supervise employees and coordinate departments.
• Prepare management and project reports.
• Perform other management duties as assigned.
