AHYD PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead the Company's construction operations, business development and project management activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and daily management of the Company, including construction delivery, workforce planning, contractor management and client relationships. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong leadership, financial oversight and a proven track record in civil

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in construction or related fields.
• At least 5 years in a senior project management or leadership position.
• Proven experience overseeing construction projects end-to-end.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Managing Director Construction Operations

AHYD PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead the Company's construction operations, business development and project management activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and daily management of the Company, including construction project delivery, financial and operational performance, workforce planning, contractor management and client relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Company's business strategies, operational plans and growth objectives.
• Oversee the overall daily operations and financial performance of the Company.
• Lead business development activities and identify suitable construction and project opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and business partners.
• Oversee civil engineering, road, drainage, landscaping, external works and general construction projects.
• Review and approve project budgets, work schedules, procurement plans and manpower requirements.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, safety and contractual performance.
• Ensure that projects are completed according to approved specifications, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers, site personnel, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Review construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements and project documentation.
• Manage contractors and suppliers, including performance evaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Establish internal project control, reporting, documentation and approval procedures.
• Monitor cash flow, project expenditure, operational expenses and financial commitments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, contractual obligations and workplace safety requirements.
• Recruit, manage and evaluate employees and project teams.
• Represent the Company in business negotiations, client meetings and official engagements.
• Provide regular operational and financial reports to the Board and shareholders.
• Perform all responsibilities associated with the position of Managing Director.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Management or a related discipline is preferred.
• Candidates with substantial relevant construction and management experience may also be considered.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in construction, civil infrastructure, landscaping or project management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior project management, operations management or leadership position.
• Proven experience overseeing construction projects from planning and mobilisation through completion and handover.
• Strong understanding of construction operations, project planning, budgeting, cost control and contract administration.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers, project teams and site operations.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings, technical specifications and contractual documents.
• Strong leadership, commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for project reporting and documentation.
• Able to work independently and make operational and commercial decisions.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices, regulatory requirements and workplace safety standards would be an advantage.
