Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant (re)insurance underwriting experience in Construction or Engineering
• Engineering background or related industry experience
• Strong understanding of construction methods, project risks, and contract structures
• Knowledge of policy wordings, reinsurance structures, and underwriting governance
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to make sound risk decisions under time pressure

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Construction and Engineering risks including CAR/EAR and major projects
• Assess submissions, determine coverage terms, and structure policies
• Collaborate with risk engineering and claims to evaluate exposures
• Monitor aggregate exposures and portfolio profitability
• Maintain broker relationships and support renewals
• Ensure underwriting complies with governance standards
