Job summary

Head of Compliance for a growing commodities derivatives trading firm based in Singapore is a senior, hands-on role. You will work closely with senior management, traders and operations to ensure activities meet regulatory requirements, exchange rules, and internal policies.

You will lead the compliance framework and monitoring programme, provide day-to-day guidance to traders, management and operations, and serve as the main liaison with ICE, CME, LME and other authorities.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Law, Business, Compliance or a related discipline, with compliance experience gained within a derivatives trading house, commodity trading firm, broker, bank or financial institution.
• Practical experience dealing with ICE, CME, LME or similar futures and commodities exchanges, strong monitoring, surveillance and risk controls experience, and a working understanding of how trading desks operate are essential.
• Familiarity with market conduct, market abuse, position limits, trade reporting and exchange rules is expected.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance of trading activity and communications for breaches, unusual trading patterns and market abuse risks.
• Maintaining monitoring plans, policies, procedures and controls.
• Acting as a key point of contact with ICE, CME, LME and other international exchanges and market authorities.
