Job summary

Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner (S.E. Asia) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer – Civil & Structural to join the Building Structures team. You will work with diverse clients, develop structural schemes, and provide technical leadership on high-rise projects.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and delivering high-quality designs while supporting professional growth and accreditation paths within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise buildings.
• PEB registration or senior-level experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with codes of practice and authority submission procedures.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software.
• Excellent written & spoken English.
• Ability to interact with colleagues and other consultants; team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural schemes for structures and buildings.
• Carry out engineering analysis to assess stability and load bearing.
• Design in accordance with Eurocodes or relevant international design codes.
• Prepare submissions to authorities for design approval.
• Provide technical advice to team and lead where required.
• Attend project meetings with Client, Project Manager and consultants from other disciplines.
• Attend site progress meetings and respond to technical queries.
• Lead junior engineers in delivering design and securing clearance from authorities.
• Conduct supervision & contract administration when required.

Responsibilities

• To work with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural scheme for structures and buildings.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise building from a local engineering consulting environment is preferred.
• Those registered as Professional Engineer with PEB and/or have more relevant working experience will be considered for senior role.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software.
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
• Able to interact and work with colleagues and members of other consultants at various levels.
• A team, client and delivery focused working style.
