Job summary

PM Group in Singapore is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to lead C&S scope across the project lifecycle. You will ensure designs are safe, compliant, buildable, and delivered on time and within budget, coordinating with clients, contractors, and authorities.

Responsibilities include engineering analysis, civil works design, documentation for authority submissions, and supporting procurement and site activities. Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and Singapore regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of C&S design experience in pharma, semiconductor, or industrial projects.
• Proficient with Eurocodes and Singapore regs (BCA).

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design of RC, steel, and composite structures.
• Design civil works: earthworks, roads, drainage, retaining structures, external works.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, drawings, and BOQs per Singapore codes and client standards.
• Coordinate with BIM modellers and drafters to produce drawings/models.
• Interface with architects, MEP, and process teams to integrate structural needs.

We are looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Singapore Business Unit and help deliver projects for leading global clients.

The Role

As a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer, you will manage C&S scope across the project lifecycle, working with clients, contractors, and authorities to make sure designs are safe, compliant, buildable, and delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and composite structures, including foundations, piling, superstructures, pipe racks, equipment supports, and platforms.
• Design civil works such as earthworks, roads, drainage, retaining structures, and external works.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications, and bills of quantities in line with Singapore codes (SS EN Eurocodes) and client standards.
• Produce and check design drawings and models, working closely with BIM modellers and drafters.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and process disciplines to integrate structural requirements and resolve clashes.
• Prepare documentation for authority submissions to BCA, URA, LTA, PUB, NEA, and SCDF, and respond to authority comments.
• Take part in design reviews, value engineering, constructability reviews, and design risk assessments (including Design for Safety).
• Support procurement by preparing technical packages and evaluating contractor bids.
• Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings, answering RFIs, and attending site inspections.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards, templates, and tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• At least 8 years of C&S design experience, ideally in a design consultancy or EPCM environment on pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or industrial projects.
• Sound knowledge of Eurocodes and Singapore building regulations and BCA requirements.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, or PROKON.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, or other BIM platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and report-writing skills, and the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams.
