Job summary

Gammon-India-Limited in Singapore seeks an experienced Civil/Structural on-site engineer to oversee coordination, drawings review, and compliance with authority submissions. You will support the Project Manager across technical matters and drive quality, scheduling, and safety on site.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architectural, MEP trades, and BIM processes, ensuring accurate drawings, timely progress claims, and adherence to TOP and contractual standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board Singapore or Building and Construction Authority
• At least 5 years’ experience in building engineering projects and structural works
• Experience with Precast / Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) / Mass Engineered Timber (MET) projects is an advantage
• QM project and registered CoreTrade Foreman or Supervisor is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and BIM
• Organised, meticulous with a positive work attitude
• Able to work independently and as a team player
• Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
• Good analytical, supervision and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Mindset to work in a digital environment

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in all onsite technical, engineering matters and authority submissions
• Prepare submission of shop drawings, materials, method statements, monthly progress claims and project management reports
• Review C&S drawings & specifications with authority & contract compliance; raise/manage/close RFI/RFA/CVI
• Coordinate C&S matters with other disciplines to align drawings and BIM models
• Lead site coordination and execution of the construction project
• Plan micro scheduling with other trades against master programme
• Update structural/architectural/M&E progress with scheduling tools
• Supervise and monitor projects to meet procedures, quality standards and contractual specs
• Ensure supervisors & foremen meet client regulatory work requirements
• Ensure compliance with Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) checklist
• Ensure inspection activities are carried out
• Ensure environmental, safety and health practices are carried out

Responsibilities:

• Review C&S drawings & specifications in conjunction with authority & contract compliances to raise, manage, and close up RFI (Request for Information) / RFA (Request for Approval) / CVI (Confirmation of Verbal Instruction)
• Participate & review coordination of C&S matters with other disciplines such as architectural & M&E in conjunction with authority and specification compliances to ensure construction drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and BIM Model are aligned without discrepancies
• Lead in site coordination and execution relating to the construction project
• Planning of micro scheduling with other trades & disciplines against master programme
• Update structural / architectural / M&E progress with scheduling tools
• Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards and contractual specifications
• Ensure supervisors & foremen meets clients’ regulatory work requirements
• Ensure compliance with Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) checklist

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised byProfessional Engineers Board Singapore or Building and Construction Authority

• Experience with Precast /Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction(PPVC) /Mass Engineered Timber (MET) projects will have an added advantage
• Completed Quality Mark (QM) project and a registeredCoreTrade Foremen or Supervisor will have an added advantage
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and BIM
