Job summary

Kajima Corporation seeks a senior professional to lead entry into the Singapore civil engineering market, deploying construction automation like A4CSEL and shaping organizational and project-execution frameworks for regional projects.

You will conduct market research, engage stakeholders, and evaluate potential partners and M&A opportunities while coordinating with Kajima subsidiaries and the parent company in Japan. Strong JLPT N1 and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years relevant job experience with senior role within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or engineering consulting in a Japanese company.
• Professional qualifications from Japan relevant to civil engineering and construction management: PE, Certified Supervising Engineer, First-Class Civil Engineering Construction Management Engineer, Concrete Diagnostician (minimum).
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering technologies, construction automation systems, and project delivery in Singapore/Japan/Asia.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Japanese language skills (JLPT N1) and English proficiency for reports to management and board.

Responsibilities

• Understand Kajima Corporation’s civil engineering technologies and project execution capabilities to support deployment in Singapore and Asia.
• Identify business opportunities and support market development in Singapore, engaging local stakeholders.
• Promote opportunities through environmentally friendly projects, maintaining relationships with statutory boards.
• Conduct market research and evaluate local partners and potential M&A candidates.
• Develop and maintain networks with industry stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
• Evaluate construction execution frameworks and partnership models for Singapore operations.
