Job summary

Shimizu Corporation in Singapore seeks a senior project professional to lead civil engineering and tendering initiatives, coordinating across local and international teams.

You will review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation, manage project progress and compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements, and liaise with HQ and stakeholders. Japanese language proficiency is required to work with the Japan Headquarters and review project-related documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, tendering, or project management.
• Experience in managing tender submissions and pre-construction activities.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, procurement, and delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) is required to liaise with Japan Headquarters and review project-related documentation in Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Singapore office and Japan Headquarters on project and tender-related matters.
• Coordinate management approvals, technical reviews, reporting requirements, and project updates with HQ.
• Facilitate meetings, discussions, and correspondence between local and overseas stakeholders.
• Prepare project status reports and management updates for senior leadership and HQ.
