PHOENIX RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead design for major MRT and civil infrastructure projects in Singapore.

You will drive design development from concept to detailed design, ensuring compliance with MRT/LTA standards and local codes, while coordinating with managers, consultants and authorities. The role requires 8–12 years of civil infrastructure experience, MRT/LTA project exposure, and strong software proficiency (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, BIM).

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
8–12+ years of civil infrastructure experience; MRT/LTA experience is mandatory.
Experience in MRT/LTA projects (roads, tunnels, bridges, drainage, utilities).
Main Contractor experience required and familiarity with Singapore codes/submission procedures.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and review design deliverables per MRT/LTA standards, contract requirements and project specs.
Prepare design schedules aligned with construction timelines.
Oversee design development from concept to detailed design.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and MRT/LTA submissions.
Coordinate MRT/LTA submissions with authorities for approval.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments and value engineering.
Liaise with Project Managers, Consultants, Contractors, and Authorities.
Identify and resolve design issues and clashes through coordination meetings.
Support tender and procurement with technical evaluations.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design coordinators.
Ensure documentation control, drawing management and revision tracking.
Monitor design progress, resources and man-hours for efficiency.
Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections and clarifications.
Ensure constructability, safety and sustainability are integrated into design.
