Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in Civil and Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in civil/infrastructure engineering and project management.
• Strong practical civil engineering knowledge and experience in managing infrastructure works, including design, reviews, submissions, construction, testing and handover.
• Experience or interest in R&D/innovation (automation, AI, low-embodied-carbon materials, sustainable infrastructure).

Responsibilities

• Manage water sustainability and civil infrastructure projects from design and construction through testing, completion and handover; monitor progress and resolve site/technical issues.
• Review C&S designs, drawings, submissions; ensure compliance with project requirements with consultants/contractors.
• Manage key project and contractual matters, including progress claims, variations, inspections, and close-out.
• Support performance monitoring and post-implementation evaluation; apply lessons to future deployments.
• Initiate and manage R&D/innovation projects from identifying challenges to test-bedding and implementation.
• Explore emerging solutions such as AI, automation, sustainable roads and pavements; collaborate with partners and Town Councils.
