Job summary

Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead day-to-day civil engineering works for a land reclamation project in Singapore, based in Tuas.

You will supervise site teams, review drawings and method statements, and ensure safety, quality and schedule targets are met. You will coordinate with consultants, contractors and authorities, monitor dredging and ground improvement works, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of civil site experience, with at least 1 reclamation/marine project and contract value >= SGD 200 million.
• Strong understanding of reclamation, ground improvement, marine works, and coastal engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

• Monitor ground improvement works, marine construction activities, and reclamation processes such as dredging, filling, and soil improvement.

• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.

• Manage project documentation, including reports, records, permits, and design submissions.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, workplace safety, and environmental standards.

• Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize project timelines and performance.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Degree recognized by the Professional Board of Singapore

• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering site experience in civil engineering works and completed at least 1 Reclamation, Marine Structure or related projects with minimum Contract Value of $200 Million.

• Strong understanding of reclamation processes, ground improvement methods, marine works, and coastal engineering principles.

• Experienced in reviewing engineering designs, solving site technical issues, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

• Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, codes, and authority submission requirements.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and lead on-site activities with minimal supervision.

• Able to work in Tuas, 5.5 work week
