Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore seeks a senior civil/environmental engineer to manage the full value chain of land reclamation projects from concept planning to implementation.

You will liaise with government agencies for approvals and budgets, develop workable reclamation profiles, assess site conditions and engineering parameters, and oversee consultants and contractors to deliver on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Background in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Experience in land reclamation and environmental impact assessment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hydrodynamic modelling and marine structures is beneficial.

[What the role is] You will be involved in managing the whole value chain of land reclamation project from concept planning, engineering design to project implementation. You will be challenged to work within resource, time and environmental constraints.

[What you will be working on] You will liaise with government agencies to seek the necessary approvals and budget, lead in planning and developing workable reclamation profile concepts, including gathering and analyzing of site conditions and engineering parameters such as soil, hydrodynamic and met-ocean, assessing environmental impact studies as well as project constructability. You will appoint and lead the consultants in environmental impact assessment and engineering design related works. You will lead in the appointment of contractors to implement the project, challenged with close technical coordination works with all stakeholders to ensure the implementation of projects to be on time, on budget and of high quality. You are also expected to identify potential construction related issues or contractual disputes, and effect appropriate solutions.

[What we are looking for] Background in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
