Job summary

HAROLD CONSULTANCY seeks a Senior Business Architect to translate business needs into practical WMS configurations and system solutions for contract logistics. You will work with Operations and IT to improve warehouse processes, reporting, and automation.

You will lead end-to-end implementations, support migrations, validate integrations, train users, and provide post-implementation support to ensure smooth, standardised operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in application support, system implementation, business analysis, contract logistics operations, operational reporting, or process improvement.
• Experience in WMS implementation and warehouse system support, including configuration and logistics technology projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with diverse organisational levels.
• Knowledge of process mapping, workflow analysis, and root-cause analysis is advantageous.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, VBA, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
• Lean Six Sigma, Business Analytics, Data Analytics certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business and operational requirements and translate them into effective system solutions, configurations, reports, and enhancement specifications.
• Support end-to-end application and system implementations, including solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, user training, troubleshooting, and post-go-live support.
• Support WMS migrations and system upgrades and manage change requests according to operational requirements.
• Configure WMS applications and validate EDI/API requirements.
• Troubleshoot application and system-related issues in collaboration with operational and technical teams.
• Partner with Operations, IT, project teams, and business stakeholders to improve system adoption and drive process standardisation and continuous improvement.
• Develop reports, dashboards, automation tools, and other digital solutions to improve operational visibility, efficiency, and data quality.
• Analyse operational workflows, performance data, and business requirements to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Business Architect to support application and systems integration within a contract logistics and warehousing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business and operational requirements and translating them into practical system solutions. The role covers application design, Warehouse Management System (WMS) configuration, testing, implementation, user training, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support. You will work closely with Operations, IT, project teams, and other business stakeholders to improve warehouse processes, system capabilities, operational reporting, process standardization, and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in areas such as application support, system implementation, business analysis, contract logistics operations, operational reporting, or process improvement.
• Experience in WMS implementation, warehouse system support, application configuration, logistics technology projects, or an international logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of WMS implementation and support. Experience with Blue Yonder WMS Dispatcher is highly relevant.
• Good understanding of contract logistics, warehouse processes, and system-enabled operations.
• Strong capabilities in requirements analysis, functional design, system configuration, testing, implementation support, and documentation.
• Knowledge of process mapping, workflow analysis, issue investigation, and root-cause analysis is advantageous.
• Experience with tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, VBA, SQL, Python, or similar technologies is advantageous.
• Lean Six Sigma, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or other relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different organisational levels.
• Ability to conduct user training and demonstrate strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and learning agility.
