Job summary

Ministry Of Social And Family Development in Singapore is seeking an analytical Budget Analyst to partner with the Assistant Director in shaping MSF's budget and resource strategy. You will collaborate with MOF and internal stakeholders to lead planning, analysis and strategic advice to guide resource decisions.

You will contribute to data-driven insights, process improvements, and the development of budgeting capabilities to strengthen service delivery across MSF programs.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in budgeting, financial planning or public sector finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial information into practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Interest and experience in process improvement, digitalisation, data analytics, AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate annual and medium-term budget planning, resource allocation, and budget submissions.
• Monitor budget utilisation and expenditure trends; highlight issues for timely follow-up.
• Analyse financial information and prepare clear recommendations to support management decisions.
• Work with MOF and internal stakeholders to address funding matters and ensure timely resolutions.
• Drive process improvement and innovation in budget management, including data and AI-enabled tools.
• Support projects to strengthen budgeting capabilities, reporting, and service delivery.
