Job summary

Ministry Of Social And Family Development is seeking a strategic leader to head the Budget Team, driving MSF's resource planning, budgeting and financial analysis. You will leverage data and forecasting to support decision-making and strengthen partnerships with MSF and MOF against a backdrop of fiscal planning and sustainability.

You will set direction, coach officers, and ensure timely budget submissions and insights, enabling better allocation and governance across MSF’s programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in public sector budgeting and finance
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Ability to translate organisational goals into budget plans and actions

Responsibilities

• Set team direction and priorities, translating ministry goals into actionable workplans.
• Coach, develop and empower officers to deliver high-quality budget analysis and advice to stakeholders.
• Build partnerships across MSF and MOF, coordinating submissions, clarifications and budget positioning.
• Drive resource planning and allocation to support long-term sustainability.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management on allocations and fiscal risks.
• Enhance budgeting capabilities through data analytics, forecasting and scenario planning.
• Develop AI-enabled budgeting solutions to improve processes and decision-making.
