Julius Baer Singapore invites applications for a Business Risk Manager to identify, assess and mitigate enterprise-wide risks across business lines and support functions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role ensures risks are understood, monitored and managed in line with the Bank’s risk appetite, regulatory obligations and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of relevant working experience in financial industry, preferably in Private Banking.
• Sound understanding of risk management concepts within a banking environment; prior experience in a risk and control function (Risk, Compliance, or Internal Audit) is highly regarded.
• Proficiency in risk management frameworks and methodologies.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory expectations in banking is a strong asset.
• High degree of integrity, independence and attention to detail.
• Pro-active, reliable and collaborative.
• Strong project and change management skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage complexity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Strong statistical, analytical, conceptual and practical implementation skills.
• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supports the setup, operation and maintenance of a consistent and effective Business Risk Management framework – in close coordination with the CRO functions.
• Provides risk input to business initiatives/cases; identifies risks and proposes mitigating measures.
• Supports Head BRM on thematic and business-specific risk reviews; makes significant risks transparent to management.
• Contributes to Management Reporting; participates in Market Management Committees with regard to Risk Management topics.
• Highlights misconduct to Front Management; supports supervisory reviews, audits and internal/external reviews.
