Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Singapore seeks a hands-on Senior Architect to own architecture direction across banking portfolios. You will partner with customer senior leadership, architects and engineering leads to set technology direction, drive modernization and raise engineering standards.

You will mentor technical leads, lead architecture assessments and promote microservices, API-led and event-driven architectures with hands-on Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, ReactJS and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with architecture leadership in large-scale banking or financial services.
• Depth in at least two banking domains.
• Strong grounding in microservices, DDD, API-led and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure / AWS / Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD.
• Credibility with senior business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the target-state architecture and technology roadmap across multiple application portfolios.
• Set architecture standards, reusable patterns and governance, and provide design assurance across portfolios.
• Lead architecture assessments, technology evaluations and POCs, and challenge designs, estimates and delivery risks.
• Drive adoption of microservices, APIs, cloud-native, DevSecOps and observability practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer architects and technology leaders, presenting modernization roadmaps and architecture decisions.
• Mentor technical leads and architects to raise solution quality and delivery outcomes.
