Job summary

Sokin is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our growing team and help transform and scale our payments platform. You will own the engineering lifecycle from concept to production, primarily backend development with frontend contributions.

As a senior member, you will influence technical direction and drive high standards for code quality and performance. You will design, build, deploy, and maintain long-term features and services that are scalable and reliable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with end-to-end feature ownership.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience in development and operations focusing on performance and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven mentoring or leadership in a senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Eng, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of software engineering from design to production.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and cross-functional teams to refine feature requirements.
• Lead architectural decisions for scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and support processes for reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of ownership.
• Participate in code reviews ensuring high quality, security and performance.
• Troubleshoot incidents and address production issues to improve resilience.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular and SQL databases.
• Stay current with industry trends and advocate their application where beneficial.
