Job summary

Seoulstart is seeking a senior backend engineer to own the design, development, and scaling of services powering onboarding and KYC workflows in a cloud-first environment.

You will build scalable, service-oriented systems using modern cloud infrastructure and partner with engineers, product managers, and leadership to translate vision into roadmaps. Expertise in Golang and distributed systems is essential, with responsible AI usage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production backend services.
• Distributed systems design with cloud-native tooling (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Golang or a similar statically-typed language.
• Experience owning end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities from design through deployment.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight for business-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and scaling of backend services powering onboarding and KYC workflows.
• Build scalable, service-oriented systems using modern cloud infrastructure.
• Drive improvements to onboarding and MTU conversion funnels through data-informed solutions.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and leadership to translate vision into roadmaps.
• Lead cross-cutting design reviews ensuring security and architectural clarity.
