Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend engineering in Java/Spring
• Experience building high-throughput financial services systems
• Strong understanding of payment system architecture: idempotency, exactly-once delivery, reconciliation and settlement
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with container deployment (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling
• Experience with PCI DSS compliant system design and secure coding practices

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade services using Java and Spring Boot, high throughput and high availability
• Implement and evolve RESTful/gRPC/MCP and event-driven APIs for payment initiation, callbacks, reconciliation, settlement
• Build for fault tolerance and observability with telemetry and monitoring
• Optimize performance via profiling and data access layer design (SQL/NoSQL)
• Collaborate with offshore teams, provide code reviews and guidance
