Job summary

SILVERLINK TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and scale backend services and data pipelines powering search indexing.

You will own performance, capacity, and reliability across distributed systems, diagnose complex production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the indexing stack to meet evolving requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend or distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience diagnosing and fixing performance, scalability, and reliability problems.
• Ability to own ambiguous, multi-quarter technical problems end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend services and data pipelines powering search indexing.
• Own performance, capacity, and reliability including latency and indexing throughput.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems.
• Partner with search ranking, serving, and product teams to evolve indexing stack toward new requirements.
• Raise the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship of other engineers.
• Drive technical direction for your area, including migrations off legacy components.
