Job summary

Silverlink Technologies Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is hiring a backend engineer to design, build, and scale backend services and data pipelines powering search indexing. You will own performance, capacity, and reliability, focusing on latency, freshness, and throughput.

You will debug complex production issues across distributed systems and collaborate with search ranking, serving, and product teams to evolve the indexing stack and mentor others on best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or distributed systems.
• Strong coding skills in C++, Java, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Hands-on experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Ability to own complex, multi-quarter technical problems end to end.

Role -

Minimum qualifications

• -5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend or distributed systems
• Strong programming skills in one or more of C++, Java, Go, Rust, or Python
• Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
• Experience diagnosing and fixing performance, scalability, and reliability problems
• Demonstrated ability to own ambiguous, multi-quarter technical problems end to end

Preferred qualifications

• Direct experience with searchinfrastructure: inverted indexes, indexing pipelines, retrieval, or queryserving
• Experience with stream processingand large-scale data systems
• Experience with storage systems,caching layers, or sharding and replication strategies
• Track record of migrating orre-platforming production systems with no user-visible disruption
