Job summary

Seoulstart seeks a senior software engineering leader in Singapore to drive backend architecture and delivery for high-throughput payment and settlement platforms. You will lead teams building card issuing, transaction processing, and settlement systems, while coaching engineers and shaping architectural direction.

You should bring 10+ years in software engineering with 2+ years of managerial experience, and hands-on expertise in Java, Kotlin, Go or Python, plus Kafka, cloud, Docker, Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years of people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• Build modern backends using Java, Kotlin, Go or Python.
• Design and deliver large-scale distributed production systems and REST APIs.
• Experience with Kafka, GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams building card issuing, transaction processing, and settlement systems.
• Coach and grow engineers through feedback and career development.
• Provide architectural direction for high-throughput transaction processing.
• Drive reliability, observability, security, and cost efficiency across the platform.
• Align execution with product and operations leaders on business priorities.
