Nas Company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Singapore to design and scale backend systems for a fast-growing creator platform. The role emphasizes asynchronous, remote work with accountability for reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver robust APIs, improve architecture, and maintain observability. The position offers full-time employment in Singapore and opportunities for growth within a global team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in backend development or systems engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Python for APIs/services.
• Solid experience with databases (MongoDB or other) and Redis caching.
• Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) and cost/performance optimization.
• Experience with observability: dashboards, logs, alerts (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Autonomous, remote/asynchronous work style; strong written communication.
• Bonus: startup or fast-paced tech company background.

Responsibilities

• Backend feature development from design to deployment with high quality.
• Improve system architecture for performance and scalability.
• Manage and refine infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on AWS.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerts across platforms.
• Handle off-hours incident response for backend systems.
• Uphold code quality through reviews, tests, and documentation.
