Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. is seeking a senior backend engineer in Singapore to own end-to-end backend systems from greenfield development to production. You will design APIs in Node.js/TypeScript with PostgreSQL, while ensuring data security and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production-grade systems.
• Demonstrated independence in building, deploying, and maintaining complex systems.
• Cloud infrastructure fluency with AWS, including VPC and IAM.
• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL design.
• Strong Linux administration and Docker/Kubernetes expertise.
• Ability to explain complex trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative, low-ego team player.

Responsibilities

• Own backend systems from greenfield development to production with autonomy.
• Develop resilient APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
• Take operational responsibility for self-hosted components (EC2, EKS).
• Manage secure transport; automate patching and recovery.
• Build and maintain multi-zone networking and IAM policies.
• Integrate third-party services with reliable, auditable handshakes.
• Design robust monitoring and proactive alerting (CloudWatch).
• Apply IaC with Terraform / AWS CDK and policy-as-code.
