Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience in payments/fintech or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of backend languages and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or equivalent) and production-grade design.
• Comfort with security/compliance requirements (PCI-DSS).

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend systems for payment processing, settlement and reconciliation.
• Own services handling high-volume financial transactions across markets and currencies.
• Collaborate with banking/settlement partners to integrate new payment rails.
• Improve reliability, monitoring and incident response for production payments infrastructure.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions.
