Job summary

WOTRANSFER PTE. LTD. Singapore is seeking a Java backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services for our global FinTech products, including cross-border payments and digital assets.

You will work with Java, JVM, Spring Boot, and distributed systems, optimizing databases (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB) and APIs; familiarity with microservices and cross-border financial services is a plus, along with strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of development experience; proficient in Java, with solid knowledge of JVM, multithreading, IO, and collection frameworks; familiar with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, MyBatis, and other mainstream frameworks.
• Familiar with MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, and related database technologies, with experience in database performance optimization.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, Socket, RESTful API development, distributed systems, Redis, MQ, and other common components.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with an interest in technical research and innovation.
• Experience in payments, card services, digital banking, or cross-border financial services is preferred; knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency, or stablecoins is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, highly scalable, and stable Java backend systems and services.
• Participate in the development of core services for the company’s global FinTech products, covering cross-border payments, multi-currency accounts, card services, digital assets, and fund transactions, while continuously improving and optimizing core systems.
