Job summary

Jobster Private Ltd. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own backend systems end-to-end for a regulatory licensing platform. You will design, build, and operate production-grade infrastructure in a highly restricted government cloud environment.

You will implement APIs with Node.js/TypeScript, manage AWS-based networking and security, and drive reliability through observability and IaC.

Qualifications

• 6/7+ years of Backend Engineering Experience in production systems.
• Independent, self-driven with end-to-end ownership.
• Proficient in cloud architectures, AWS networking and IAM.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Linux, containers, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End ownership from design to production and Day 2 operations.
• Develop resilient APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure data is encrypted at rest and in transit; write tests.
• Own self-hosted infra components (EC2, EKS) and patching.
• Manage secure transport (SFTP/SSH) and multi-zone networking.
• Design observability with CloudWatch, metrics, tracing, alerts.
• Apply IaC with Terraform / AWS CDK and Policy-as-Code.
