Job summary

Jobster Private Ltd is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the backend for a mission-critical Regulatory Licensing Platform. The role focuses on building systems in a highly restricted government cloud environment, with a systems-first mindset and end-to-end ownership from design through Day 2 operations.

You will implement resilient APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL, ensure data encryption, manage self-hosted components, and drive infrastructure quality with IaC tooling like

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience in production systems.
• Ability to own end-to-end delivery from design to production.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Linux skills.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS, and IAM/VPC patterns.
• Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CDK for IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own backend systems from development to production and Day 2 operations.
• Develop resilient APIs with Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
• Manage self-hosted components (EC2, EKS) and automate patching.
• Design secure data in transit and at rest, encryption and monitoring.
• Build multi-zone network segmentation and secure communications.
• Integrate third‑party services and ensure auditable handshakes.
• Define observability through CloudWatch and tracing.
