Capgemini Singapore is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the backend systems of a mission-critical Regulatory Licensing Platform. You will lead end-to-end development, implement resilient APIs with Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL, and manage self-hosted components (EC2, EKS) with IaC using Terraform and AWS CDK.

You will ensure data is encrypted in transit and at rest, while building scalable, auditable integrations with third-party services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production-grade systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive projects to completion with minimal direction.
• Deep hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and secure data patterns (AWS preferred).

Responsabilités

• Own backend systems from greenfield development to production with end-to-end ownership.
• Develop resilient APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
• Take operational responsibility for self-hosted components (EC2, EKS) and automate patching, hardening and recovery.
• Build and maintain multi-zone network segmentation, IAM policies and secure communication patterns.
• Integrate critical third-party services and ensure auditable handshakes.
• Design a robust monitoring plane and proactive alerting for reliability.
• Adopt IaC practices using Terraform and AWS CDK with policy-as-code.
