Job summary

ARTA TECH PTE. LTD. is hiring a senior backend engineer to design and build the core services powering its AI-driven financial platform.

You will own end-to-end services, APIs, data models, and production reliability, collaborating with product, frontend, and ML engineers to deliver scalable, secure backend systems for real money and real users. Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python (or similar).
• Experience with distributed systems and APIs (REST/gRPC).
• Experience with reliability, performance, security in production.
• Fluency with AI coding tools to raise output and quality.
• Experience with LLMs or agent frameworks, or willingness to ramp up.
• Good problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bonus: experience in trading platforms or financial infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Make architectural decisions on system design, data modeling, service boundaries, and infra.
• Write clean, well-tested, observable code using AI coding agents daily.
• Build LLM- and agent-powered backend capabilities to unlock product value.
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed services.
• Integrate with third-party financial APIs, brokerage systems, and cloud infra.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting (Sentry, Datadog) and participate in on-call.
• Lead code reviews, testing, and evals for AI/agent-driven systems.
• Collaborate with product/design to translate problems into backend solutions.
