Job summary

Arta Tech in Singapore is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and build the backend systems powering its AI-driven financial services platform. You will own services end-to-end—from API design to data models and production reliability—collaborating with product, frontend, and ML engineers.

You will work with Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate delivery, build LLM-powered capabilities, and ensure performance and security across distributed services handling real money and real data.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend software development
• Strong Python proficiency and experience in distributed systems
• Experience with RESTful and/or gRPC APIs and microservices
• Production-ready design focusing on reliability, performance, and security
• Familiarity with AI tooling and LLM-based workflows
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Make architectural decisions on system design, data modeling, and infrastructure
• Write clean, well-tested code and leverage AI coding agents to accelerate delivery
• Build and integrate LLM/agent-powered backend capabilities
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed services
• Integrate with third-party financial APIs, brokerage systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Set up logging, monitoring, and incident response
• Champion code quality, testing, and evals for AI-driven systems
• Collaborate with product/design to translate problems into backend solutions
