Pacific Life Re seeks an AVP, Pricing, Protection for Korea and Japan, with reporting to Asia Head of Pricing. The role heads the pricing team, signs off on pricing terms, and collaborates with Underwriting and Marketing to craft pricing strategies for clients in Asia.

Occasional travel and strong leadership are required to drive performance and client value. The ideal candidate has deep actuarial expertise, 15+ years in pricing, and a proven track record in reinsurance markets, with proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of actuarial experience.
• Reinsurance pricing experience with Korea and/or Japan is a plus.
• Qualified Actuary with strong leadership and communication.
• Deep knowledge of insurance/reinsurance market, regulations and products.
• Proficient in Excel, Access; programming languages e.g. SQL, VBA; Moses/GLM familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Lead on pricing of reinsurance terms for Korea and Japan with sign-off authority.
• Manage pricing team, develop pricing papers and client solutions.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Marketing to deliver pricing strategies.
• Maintain client relationships and participate in industry activities.
• Oversee pricing tools, controls and model development; mentor staff.
