Job summary

MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Automation Equipment Technician to sustain and improve advanced automation equipment in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing setting in Singapore.

You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, perform PM, and collaborate with engineers, operators and vendors to drive uptime and efficiency. Applicant should have a Diploma or higher in relevant engineering, hands-on maintenance experience, and proficiency with AMHS/ASRS/AGV

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with automated material handling systems (AMHS) is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, layouts and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain automation equipment (AMHS, ASRS, AGV).
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose issues.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment per plans and manuals.
• Execute preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
• Implement equipment modifications as directed by engineering teams.
• Monitor tool performance and support KPI targets (uptime, quality).
• Prepare shift reports and conduct passdowns.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to boost reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze data to guide advanced troubleshooting and predictive maintenance actions.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and collaborate with teams.

As Senior Automation Equipment Technician , youwill play a critical role in sustaining and improving advanced automationequipment within the manufacturing environment. This position requires strongtechnical skills in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipmentoptimization, while collaborating closely with Shift Operations, EquipmentEngineers, and tool vendors. You will ensure equipment reliability, drivecontinuous improvement, and support automation initiatives to enhanceproductivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain automation equipment such as AMHS (Automated Material Handling System), ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System), and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles).
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues in electro-mechanical equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment based on layout plans, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration activities to maintain equipment within specifications.
• Implement equipment modifications as directed by engineering teams.
• Monitor tool performance and ensure compliance with shift KPIs for uptime and quality.
• Prepare detailed shift reports and conduct effective passdowns.
• Execute continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze equipment data to recommend advanced troubleshooting and predictive maintenance actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through proper housekeeping practices.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering stakeholders to resolve production line issues promptly.

Additional Responsibilities

Support automation integration projects and assist in deploying new technologies.

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring issues.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and EHS protocols during all maintenance activities.

Requirements

• - Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Electrical,Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering.
• - Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductormanufacturing.
• - Hands-on experience in troubleshooting andmaintaining electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• - Familiarity with automation systems, such asOHT, Stocker, Conveyor, Split-Merge Stations, Vision Systems, or similarautomated material handling equipment (AMHS).
• - Good analytical and problem-solving skills withthe ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
• - Strong communication skills with the ability toprovide technical updates, shift handovers, and lessons learned tostakeholders.
• - Self-motivated with a continuous learningmindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies and automated systems.
• - Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nightshifts.
