Job summary

SILICON BOX in Singapore is seeking an AMHS Associate Engineer to perform periodic maintenance, troubleshoot daily machine issues, and assist with machine improvements and SOP updates.

You will support spare parts management, participate in TPM, and work 12-hour rotating shifts while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A Diploma in Engineering and AMHS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering as listed, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of AMHS experience is required.
• PLCs knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic maintenance activities per procedure and safety rules.
• Assist Engineers on machine improvements and spare parts testing.
• Update and revise SOPs, work procedures and training materials.
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns to maximize uptime.
• Assist in spare parts inventory management.

Job description

The AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) Associate Engineer is responsible for performing periodic maintenance activities, recovery and troubleshooting of daily machines issues. He/she will assist Engineers on machine improvements and spare parts management, updating/revising of work related Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Responsibilities

• Carry out equipment periodic maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance procedure and safety requirement.
• Assist Engineer on machine improvement and parts testing.
• Maintaining/updating SOP, work procedure and training material or report writing.
• Carry out firsthand repair and troubleshoot on machine breakdown to maximized equipment uptime
• Assist in spare parts inventory.
• Actively involve in TPM, perform routine equipment patrol check or inspection on automation system.
• Assist in any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor as and when necessary.
• Carry out repairs or overhaul of parts for automation.
• Assist in identifying equipment failures, root cause analysis and recommending solution to technical issues.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (Electronic/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in Automated Material Handling System (AMHS)
• Prior experience in Automated Manufacturing Environment and knowledge of Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated and proactive; eager to learn and open to acquiring new skills.
• Strong team player with good collaboration skills.
• Possesses strong analytical thinking abilities.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
