Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Associate, Consumer Fraud Risk Operations to lead real-time risk engine optimization and support global merchant risk programs. You’ll work within a team to enhance risk performance, partnering with product and operations to drive smarter risk decisions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in fraud risk within payments, strong SQL skills, and the ability to communicate risk indicators across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fraud risk function with experience in payment industry.
• Strong data mindset and analytical skills; SQL is a must and Python is preferred.
• Deep understanding of real-time payment risk controls and ability to identify risk and remediation actions.
• Strong project management skills for improving rules, models and products.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate key risk indicators with non-risk colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Optimize risk engine rules based on merchant fraud and dispute patterns and feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor merchant risk and payment performance.
• Support merchant new product launches or events with risk expertise.
• Work with merchants on fraud or chargeback solutions and drive improvement plans.
• Suggest improvements to real-time risk controls, policies and processes.
• Present real-time risk solutions to internal and external partners to build AWX’s risk brand.
