Qualifications

• Honours degree in a related field.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to plan and prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Some accounting industry experience is an advantage.
• Academic knowledge of IFRS and GAAP is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supporting schedules, working papers and financial statement disclosures using Excel and other tools.
• Prepare financial statements for a portfolio of investment funds and vehicles in accordance with applicable standards.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately, completely and on time to meet client deadlines.
• Present statements to senior team members and incorporate feedback promptly.
• Assist in planning financial reporting engagements while managing multiple client deadlines.
• Liaise with investment managers, fund administrators, auditors and other service providers to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Research accounting issues and complex transactions to determine appropriate treatment under GAAP/IFRS.
• Contribute to process improvements and assist with ad hoc projects as required.
