Job summary

DBS Bank in Singapore Asia Central is seeking a Finance professional to join Group Finance. You will participate in the delivery of the Group’s financial reports, review accounting treatments, support process improvements and assist in year-end financial statements.

The role requires a degree in accounting, 2–3 years’ related experience (Big 4 helpful), strong analytical and communication skills, and a solid understanding of financial products and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Big 4 experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in accounting principles, including SFRS(I).
• Strong financial reporting background.
• Good knowledge of financial products and services.
• Strong communication skills across all levels and keen analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Group's financial reports and ensure timely month-end closing.
• Review accounting treatment and disclosures for products and services.
• Participate in finance projects involving process reviews and system enhancements.
• Implement internal controls over financial reporting.
• Prepare, review and analyse the Group's financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and Group policies.
• Assist with year-end statutory accounts and other financial information as requested.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Member of the team responsible for the delivery of the Group’s financial reports
• Participate in the review of accounting treatment and financial disclosures of the Group’s product and services
• Participate in Finance projects initiatives which involve process reviews, system enhancements and new systems implementation
• Implement procedures and internal controls over the preparation of financial reports
• Responsible for the monthly financial accounts closing process
• Responsible for the preparation, review and analysis of the Group’s financial performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements as well as Group accounting policies
• Responsible for the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and other financial information as required by the relevant authorities
• Participate in Finance projects initiatives which involve process reviews, system enhancements and new systems implementation
• Implement procedures and internal controls over the preparation of financial reports
• Handle ad-hoc assignments when necessary

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or a related field with 2-3 years of relevant working experience; Big 4 firm experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in accounting principles, including SFRS(I), with an added advantage for expertise in financial instruments.
• Strong financial reporting background. Familiarity with financial reporting process in a large financial services company would be a plus.
• Good knowledge of financial products and services.
• Keen analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort dealing with high volumes of data and financial numbers.
• Strong team player with maturity and strong communication skills across all levels.
