Job summary

Singapore General Hospital is seeking a qualified Accountant to join the Finance Team in Singapore, supporting Academic Clinical Programmes, innovation grants and other strategic initiatives. You will manage financial accounting, month-end close, and fund utilisation reporting, liaising with grant sponsors, PIs, and administrators to ensure compliant and accurate reporting.

6 years of diploma-level experience, healthcare/grant exposure preferred; proficiency in MS Office crucial for daily

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of experience for Diploma holders
• Experience in healthcare and grant management would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Perform financial accounting, reconciliation, and month-end closing for ACPs and projects
• Monitor and report fund utilisation ensuring compliance with funding requirements
• Investigate and resolve financial and operational issues with project teams
• Serve as liaison between grant sponsors, PIs, administrators, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare financial reports and statistics for management reporting
• Support internal and external audit activities

You will be part of the Finance Team in Singapore General Hospital supporting Academic Clinical Programmes (ACPs), innovation grants and other strategic initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:-

• Perform financial accounting, reconciliation, and month-end closing activities for Academic Clinical Programmes (ACPs) and other projects.
• Monitor and report on fund utilisation in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and reporting obligations.
• Investigate and resolve financial and operational issues with project teams to facilitate accurate financial reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between grant sponsors, Principal Investigators (PIs), administrators, and internal stakeholders to support the effective administration of grants.
• Prepare financial reports and statistics to support operational and management reporting requirements.
• To support internal and external audit activities.

Job Requirement

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of experience for Diploma holders
• Experience in healthcare and grant management would be an advantage.
