Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, this role supports SGX Group’s financial and sustainability reporting, including the preparation of statutory and management reports, Board and Audit Committee materials, and the annual Sustainability Report. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely and compliant reporting, while strengthening data governance, controls and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements for SGX Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/SFRS(I) and SGX reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual deliverables, including Audit Committee and Board materials, SGXNet announcements, statutory financial statements, and the SGX Group Annual Report.
- Liaise with external auditors on audit deliverables, supporting the timely completion of year-end audits.
- Support the monthly financial analysis and variance reporting, providing insights into key business and financial performance drivers.
- Support the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
Sustainability Reporting
- Support the preparation of SGX Group’s annual Sustainability Report, ensuring compliance with SGX sustainability reporting requirements and applicable reporting frameworks, including GRI, SASB and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS S1 and IFRS S2).
- Coordinate with business units and corporate functions to collect, validate and consolidate sustainability-related information, including environmental, social, governance and climate-related metrics.
- Support the collection, calculation, validation and reporting of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions and other sustainability indicators, ensuring consistency with the Group’s Basis of Preparation and reporting methodologies.
- Support the development and enhancement of sustainability reporting processes, data governance frameworks and internal controls to strengthen the quality, consistency and reliability of sustainability disclosures.
- Perform data validation, analytical reviews and variance analysis on sustainability metrics, and coordinate remediation of reporting issues identified through management review or assurance procedures.
- Monitor developments in sustainability-related regulations, reporting standards and market practices, and support the implementation of new sustainability reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Sustainability, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, sustainability reporting, audit, or finance functions. Experience in financial institutions or listed companies is preferred.
- Experience in sustainability assurance, ESG reporting or external audit would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of IFRS/SFRS(I), sustainability reporting frameworks, climate-related disclosures and ESG reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with ISSB Standards (IFRS S1 and IFRS S2), GRI Standards, SASB Standards, greenhouse gas accounting and climate-related disclosures is preferred.
- Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions and manage multiple reporting deadlines.
- Keen interest in sustainability, emerging reporting requirements and corporate governance.
- Interest in process improvement, automation and data analytics would be an advantage
