Job summary

NTU Singapore is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager in AI Enablement to lead edtech initiatives, train faculty, and shape course design with AI. This role emphasizes hands-on creation of AI-enabled learning assets and practical workshops.

You will drive change management, coordinate with Communications and school leads, and measure impact to continuously improve teaching and learning across the University.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related discipline.
• 5+ years in educational technology, learning design or staff capability development.
• Hands-on work with generative AI applied to teaching, learning or content creation.
• Proven training and facilitation experience.
• Experience advising educators on course, assessment or content design.
• Strong writing, editing and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a recurring programme of hands-on workshops, clinics and onboarding sessions for faculty.
• Advise faculty on applying AI to course design, assessment design and learning content within policy guidelines.
• Build AI-generated and AI-assisted learning assets and curate them into a library of exemplars.
• Evaluate emerging EdTech and AI tools and translate policy into practical guardrails.
• Plan and execute communications to raise awareness and uptake of programmes.
• Track participation, adoption and impact, then iterate accordingly.

Our Edtech Enablement team is where that work meets faculty: we help academics put EdTech to work in their teaching, and we tell the story of what they achieve with it.

The Opportunity

We are looking for someone who can build with AI and teach others to do the same, as Senior Assistant Manager, EdTech Enablement . Around 80% of your time goes to EdTech and AI enablement - training and coaching faculty, consulting on course and assessment design, and creating AI-built learning assets you can put in front of a room. The remaining 20% is change management and communications: making sure your programmes and the University's wider teaching and learning initiatives land with the people who need to act on them. You will not just talk about AI; you will build with it and show your work.

Key Highlights of the Role:

• Enable Faculty to Teach with AI: Design and run the workshops, clinics and onboarding that take academics from curiosity to confident, compliant practice.
• Shape How Courses Are Designed: Consult with faculty and course teams on applying AI to course design, assessment and learning content - and on where it does not belong.
• Build and Showcase AI Exemplars: Create your own AI-built learning assets, prompt workflows and use cases, and present them at showcases, communities of practice and leadership briefings.

Primary Duties:

• Faculty EdTech Enablement & Training: Design and deliver a recurring programme of hands-on workshops, clinics and onboarding sessions, plus the guides, prompt libraries and recorded demonstrations that let faculty keep learning on their own.
• AI-Enhanced Learning Design Consultancy: Advise faculty and course teams on applying AI to course design, assessment design and learning content, within University academic integrity and data protection guidelines.
• AI Creation & Showcase: Build demonstrable AI-generated and AI-assisted learning assets, prompt workflows and use cases, and curate them into a library of exemplars and success stories you present across the University.
• Tool Evaluation & Governance-Aligned Adoption: Evaluate and pilot emerging EdTech and AI tools, translate University policy into practical guardrails faculty can follow, and feed needs back to platform owners and vendors.
• Communications & Engagement: Plan and execute communications that build awareness and uptake of your programmes and of university-wide teaching and learning initiatives, working with Corporate Communications and school-level leads.
• Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Track participation, adoption, capability uplift and sentiment; report on impact; and use what you learn to sharpen the next cycle of enablement.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Tertiary-level teaching experience
• EdTech & Enablement Experience: At least 5 years in educational technology, learning design, digital learning or staff capability development, including hands-on work with generative AI applied to teaching, learning or content creation.
• AI Fluency & Portfolio: Demonstrated practical use of generative AI tools (e.g. Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to create learning content, media or workflows, with work you can show and explain. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to walk us through something they have built with AI.
• Training & Facilitation: Proven experience designing and delivering training, workshops or onboarding to academic or professional audiences, with confident presentation and demonstration skills.
• Consultancy & Learning Design: Experience advising educators or subject matter experts on course, assessment or content design, and translating pedagogical needs into practical technology solutions.
• Communications & Core Competencies: Strong writing and editing for internal audiences with experience across email, web, social and event channels; excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills; adaptable thinking; and high integrity.
