Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board in Singapore seeks an Assistant Director/Lead Engineer to manage the operation of water system and equipment, ensuring quality and reliability across facilities.

You will assess existing processes, identify improvements, coordinate shutdowns with Joint Operations Centre, plan water quality sampling, and oversee procurement for assigned projects while collaborating with engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in operation of process/utility plants/systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a results-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of system and equipment to meet water quality and quantity targets.
• Assess existing systems and processes to identify improvements for efficiency.
• Identify operational risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns internally and with Joint Operations Centre to minimise disruption.
• Plan, monitor and implement water quality sampling.
• Call quotations/tenders, manage contracts and oversee procurement for projects.
